Grant Application FAQ’s
How do I submit (Wizehive application)?
Answer: To submit your application, click ‘next’ until you reach the tenth page. Click ‘next’ again and you will be taken to the review page. This allows you to review your entire application before you submit. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page. There will be a ‘submit’ button where next previously was.
Do I need to sign my PACDP signature page?
Answer: No, it not necessary. Please save your CDP PCF funder report as a PDF and upload it to your application.
Is the grant deadline really midnight on Sunday, September 30th 2012?
Answer: Yes, the system (Wizehive) will shut off at this time so please submit your application before for consideration.
Can my organization apply if it does not have 501(c)(3) status from the IRS? Only if your group is a new organization?
Answer: Please consult the eligibility guidelines provided in the application materials. These organizations are allowed to apply through another 501(c)(3) cultural organization if they meet certain requirements.
What if my organization does most of its programs in Philadelphia, but the office is located outside the city?
Answer: The office must be located within the city limits, verified by your printed stationery and other literature or marketing materials you submit with your application. The majority of your programming must also take place in the city of Philadelphia.
Must my organization have an audited financial statement?
Answer: Yes, if your budget is over $250,000, an audited financial statement is required.
What if the audited financial statement for the most recently completed fiscal year is not yet available?
Answer: Submit the most recent audit that you have, with a note indicating that you will send the newly completed audit as soon as it becomes available.
My organization doesn’t fit into any of the categories that are listed, what should I do?
Answer: Please call the office and speak with a member of the Cultural Fund staff. They will help identify the best category for your organization.
I’m a first time applicant, and can’t come to a workshop, am I still eligible to apply?
Answer: Yes you may apply. Please contact the office and speak to a member of the staff about your application.
I’m in the New and Emerging category-do I need to submit the CDP?
Answer: Yes, please fill out the CDP funder report with the information you have, even if it’s only a year.
